Doug Dawson

 Founder & CEO, Dawson Logistics Inc.

With a distinguished career in logistics and parcel delivery services, Doug Dawson brings over three decades of expertise to his role as CEO and Founder of Dawson Logistics. Doug founded Dawson Logistics in 2000, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and visionary leadership to drive innovation and efficiency in logistics solutions. In 2005, he expanded his entrepreneurial pursuits by establishing Dawson Healthcare Solutions, focusing on specialized logistics for the healthcare sector.

Doug’s career trajectory began at esteemed organizations such as UPS, RPS, and FedEx, where he honed his skills in logistics management. He further enriched his experience by working with Lanter Delivery Systems, a key player in regional parcel delivery.

In a strategic move in 2018, Dawson Healthcare Solutions merged with ParcelShield, where Doug continues to serve on the Board of Directors and helps steer the company toward groundbreaking advancements in healthcare logistics solutions.

Under Doug’s leadership, both Dawson Logistics and ParcelShield LLC have set new benchmarks for operational excellence and customer satisfaction in the logistics industry in 2018.

President

Brooks Bennett-Miller serves as the President of Dawson Logistics, having ascended to this role in 2023 after a decade of dedicated service within the company. Joining Dawson Logistics in 2011, Brooks initially spearheaded the financial division, where her profound expertise in finance and knack for process improvement significantly enhanced operational efficiencies.

With a robust background in financial management coupled with a unique skill set in operational efficiency design, Brooks has been instrumental in the meteoric growth of the company. Her strategic insights and visionary leadership have been pivotal in scaling Dawson Logistics’ operations and expanding its market reach.

As President, Brooks continues to drive excellence across all facets of the organization, reinforcing Dawson Logistics’ position as a best-in-class logistics provider. Her forward-thinking approach ensures that Dawson Logistics not only meets but exceeds the diverse needs of our clients, fostering robust growth and setting new industry standards.

 
Mike Torma

Mike Torma

VP of Business Initiatives

Mike has over 35 years of experience in warehousing logistics, e-commerce, transportation, material handling equipment, facility design, and pallet manufacturing and pooling. Mike’s primary focus is leading the Dawson Team in opening new facilities and other special projects. He’s known as a problem solver and a builder, which has earned him the nickname “Captain.”

Mike’s professional experience includes roles as CEO of Atlantic Lift of Central Fl., VP of operations for Amware Distribution, director of Amware Fulfillment, regional manager for Industrial Battery & Charger, and director of client solutions for Baker Brothers Installations. He was previously the VP of operations for Dawson.

Mike has been a member of and has held certifications for chemical, food, pallets, and material handling equipment distribution from NACD, AIB, NWPCA, and MHEDA. He is a past president of an Ohio Jaycees chapter and is a VFR & IFR Certified private pilot. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, spending time with his wife and all his kids and grandchildren, carpentry, and relaxing at the beach.

 

Jeff Grizzard

Jeff Grizzard is the dynamic force behind Dawson Logistics’ client success strategies. With a track record in supply chain implementation and continuous improvement spanning more than two decades, Jeff’s expertise has been pivotal in fostering long-term partnerships and securing success and profitability for clients.  

Jeff has a passion for innovation and automation—key drivers of our industry’s future. By bringing a strategic approach to omnichannel growth planning, coupled with a strong foundation in Transportation Management, Warehouse Management Systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Jeff has achieved a 100% client retention rate and a consistent record of portfolio growth.  

A born and raised Nashvillian, Jeff attended the University of Tennessee where he received degrees in Marketing and Supply Chain Logistics. He has spent his entire career in the supply chain world, most recently with GEODIS for 11 years.

As VP of Business Development at Dawson Logistics, Jeff Gopsill uses his strategic sales and client relationship skills to boost revenue and build partnerships. His expertise in providing tailored solutions for transportation and logistics ensures top-tier service for clients.

Jeff brings a wealth of experience from a career centered on sales and leadership across various markets and business areas. He has successfully navigated complex sales cycles, managed large global contracts, and executed extensive RFP processes. His background includes expertise in all modes of transportation, warehouse and logistics, strategic business planning, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies. Throughout his career, Jeff has consistently surpassed sales targets and driven strategic business growth.

On a personal note, Jeff is a devoted father to two young men. Residing in central Indiana, Jeff is an active member of his local church and community. He is passionate about travel, both for work and pleasure, and loves to ski with his family.

 

Brooke Sutliff

Director of Human Resources

Brooke brings extensive experience in HR, operations, and team relations to Dawson Logistics. Over the past nine years, she has held various leadership roles in human resources, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, and operations management. Her expertise positions her well to support Dawson Logistics in its growth and success.

With a genuine passion for helping others, Brooke is dedicated to making a positive impact on employees’ lives. Her compassion and enthusiasm drive her to foster personal and professional development among the team.

A devoted wife and mother of three young boys, Brooke lives in Illinois and is an active community member. She enjoys traveling and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.
