Douglas M. Dawson: President / CEO
Bachelor of Science - Marketing Degree, Millikin University, Decatur IL
Doug's professional experience encompasses various areas of the transportation/distribution industry. A UPS internship in college was the stepping stone for his logistical career. After graduation Doug enjoyed 7 yrs with RPS and FedEx, in which his experience brought a true understanding of the value of customized solutions. While working for LDS Logistics, he was involved with new service development, sales staff structuring and territory management. There he assisted in the implementation of the Sandler Sales Technique for the corporate sales team. After managing the district sales structure and reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, Doug accepted a position with RPS in sales development. In 1999, Doug left RPS/FedEx and launched Dawson Logistics.
Josh A. Hobick: Vice President Business Development
Bachelor of Science - Marketing, Millikin University, Decatur, IL
Josh has had a very diverse transportation and logistics background. He started his career with UPS in 1988 and has held Management positions with an elite list of top tier providers such as Federal Express, RPS, and LDS Logistics. His Management responsibilities have spanned all aspect of transportation and logistics including Sales Management and Operations, as well as Strategic Planning and P & L management.
David L. Munsell: Vice President of Operations
Bachelors of Science - Marketing, Davenport University, Grand Rapids, Michigan
David Started his career in 1985 in the transportation and logistics industry, working for Fortune 500 companies like FedEx Ground, Ryder and Penske prior to joining Dawson Logistics. David has held various executive position in operations overseeing major projects involving transportation solutions, dedicated contract carriage and distribution services. David's diverse professional experience has included servicing the automotive industries, building products, food and retail distribution, and manufacturing.
James P Dawson: Vice President Corporate Compliance
Bachelor of Arts - Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL
Jim comes to Dawson Logistics with 30 plus years of management experience in the grain milling industry with Bunge/Lauhoff involving sales and truck and rail logistics. He held the position of Customer Service Manager for many years and was responsible for managing customer service for accounts which included Kellogg, Frito Lay, Miller Brewing, Anheuser Busch and other major companies. Jim later became account manager for the companies “United States Department of Agriculture PL 480 program” and had involvement in private export sales. This provided him with a wealth of experience in dealing with complicated and time specific logistics with steamship lines, freight forwarders, and private voluntary organizations associated with the program.
