warningDoug Dawson - President and CEODoug Dawson is the co-founder, President and CEO of Dawson Logistics. With over 25 years in the logistics industry, Doug's logistics experience has developed Dawson Logistics into a leader in global, custom supply chain management. Doug's logistics experience began as a collegiate intern for UPS. After graduation, Doug expanded on his logistics experience as he spent several years with RPS and FedEx in operations and business development. Doug was then recruited by a regional logistics provider to provide strategic consulting services, in addition to designing and launching a small parcel delivery platform with bulk drop ship functionality. In tandem, Doug developed a national retail distribution model for a start-up, Hawaiian based, organic chocolate company. Upon completion of that project, Doug co-founded Dawson Logistics. The original business model, which still exists today, is to provide strategically customized supply chain solutions to improve efficiency and visibility while reducing overall expense. Doug currently serves on several industry advisory councils.

During that time, he has held roles of progressive responsibility in Operations, Engineering / Solution Design, Business Development and Corporate Account Management. While working for and on behalf of major shippers like Walmart Stores, Sysco Food Services, Mr. Smith frequently played the role of subject matter expert around distribution network design, long range strategic planning and carrier program design and execution. His diverse background and deep experience in operational and financial analysis coupled with his passion for solution development positions him strongly to support Dawson and their clients around Business Development and Commercial Services efforts. Andy holds a BS in Quantitative Business Analysis from Louisiana State University and an MBA with an emphasis in Transportation and Logistics from the University of Arkansas.

warningGreg Griffin, Director, Dallas OperationsGreg joined Dawson Logistics in August of 2011 as Director of Dallas Operations. Before joining Dawson he was employed 9 years with Greatwide Logistics Services. While at Greatwide Greg managed several Operating Centers, including dispatch and fleet management roles. After successfully managing three individual Operating Centers, Greg was given the opportunity to move to Dallas and work from the Greatwide Corporate Headquarters where responsibilities revolved around managing and developing strategies for reducing empty miles within the customers' dedicated fleets, including Wal-Mart, Supervalu and Sysco Foods. In addition to these responsibilities, Greg and his team were responsible for the implementation and daily operation of multiple new projects involving both new and existing customers.During his time with Greatwide Greg had a proven track record of being able to successfully manage all aspects of the individual operations, including but not limited to expectations around P & L, safety, service and overall customer expectations. Greg and the St. Louis Operating Center were 2 time recipients of Operating Center of the Year for Safety, Service and Overall P&L Performance.Prior to Greatwide, Greg served 5 years as a Logistics Manager for Mercer Inc. in Enterprise, AL.Greg and his wife of 18 years, Lisa, have 2 boys, Cade and Jackson.
